Why a Roof Needs Great Shingles

Is your home covered in the least expensive shingles you could afford? If you haven’t replaced the roof on your home yet, wait. Your roof deserves better shingles than it has. Consider paying more for the shingles for your next roof to improve the value and protection a quality roof offers.

Better Shingles Equals Better Longevity

The standard roofing shingle for the least amount of money may last about eight years. If you spend the most you can on the best shingles on the market, you get a roof that could last three or four times that. Imagine not having to replace your roof again in your adult lifetime, or at least not until you are a senior citizen. That’s worth spending more money on.

Specialty Shingles Do More

Some shingles resist hail damage, wind damage, UV damage, algae damage, and mold damage. If your new roof could do all that, you would never have to worry about repairing the roof for those specific causes of roof damage. It becomes apparent that paying extra for better shingles isn’t a hustle. It’s an investment against expensive roofing repairs and costly roof replacements.

Some Shingle Warranties Outlast Homeowners

There are shingles with warranties that last thirty years or more. Some companies produce technologically advanced shingles with warranties of up to fifty years. The warranties transfer to other owners as long as the terms and conditions have not been voided or expired. Not only do you get an entire roof of shingles that are guaranteed against wearing out or specific types of damage for decades, but you also get a warranty that you can use as a selling point to any buyer when you decide to sell your home.

Your Roof Will Look Beautiful

These kinds of shingles make your roof look beautiful. Investing in the best shingles is worth it for the curb appeal alone.
